Anna’s paintings hold a quiet tension—between being seen and pulling back. Figures surface slowly through layers, somewhere between observation and self-portrait, where small shifts in posture or expression carry weight.

She returns to moments that feel unguarded. Not staged, not resolved. A body at rest that isn’t fully at ease. Something withheld, or just out of reach. The work resists narrative, staying open, letting colour, gesture, and distortion carry the emotional charge.

Working with acrylic, ink, and fluid mark-making, Anna moves in and out of figuration. The face and body remain central—particularly in relation to female representation—but never fixed. Edges blur. Forms slip. Presence becomes unstable.

There is a sense of being there and not quite there at the same time—of moving through space while remaining slightly apart from it. Her work circles vulnerability, perception, and the fragile line between what is felt and what is shown.
