Raised in the rural landscapes of Snowdonia and now based in London, Taylor brings together the contrasting influences of countryside and city life to create colourful, escapist worlds.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTaylor’s paintings and prints are characterised by bold blocks of colour, detailed landscapes and playful juxtapositions. His recurring paint-by-numbers imagery draws on childhood associations while questioning traditional ideas around artistic authorship and the mythology of the “genius” artist. His Love Letters to Art History series similarly reinterprets iconic artists and imagery through a distinctly contemporary lens.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHaving studied painting at the University of Brighton, Taylor has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally, with his work held in private and public collections worldwide.
